Save the date: Afrikadag 2020!
On the 4th of April 2020, our annual Afrikadag will once again take place, bringing together guests, politicians, and experts from both the Netherlands and the African diaspora in the Royal Tropical Institute (KIT) in Amsterdam. With this year’s theme being Climate Justice, the day will be filled with entertaining activities as well as captivating conversations around climate change and its adverse effects on a continent which is disproportionately affected by this global phenomenon. Through film, music, debates, and workshops, dialogue will be encouraged surrounding matters of how we can equally share in the costs of climate finance, how our own local climate policies impact African countries at large in addition to how we can collectively ensure those policies to be fair and align with the priorities of those very countries.
Don’t miss the opportunity to engage in these conversations through the over 30 workshops run by divergent organisations, a comprehensive arts and culture programme, and an inspirational information fair, all of which are topped off with the spectacular ‘AFREAK’ afterparty in Desmet Studios! Keep an eye out for all updates related to Afrikadag 2020 on both our website, Facebook and Instagram.
