Video message by Minister Liesje Schreinemacher

Liesje Schreinemacher, Dutch Minister for Foreign Trade and Development Cooperation, sadly could not attend the Afrikadag 2022 on Saturday 28 May in person. However, via her video message she still took part! She speaks about her own experiences in Africa, emphasizes the oppurtunities that the continent offers, as well as the benefits of the linkage of development cooperation and trade. In addition, she discusses where the Netherlands specifically can make a difference concerning the development of the continent. This includes the digitalization of the agriculture sector, knowledge transfer on climate adaptation and making exisiting trade relations like in the flower industry more sustainable.
