Programme Afrikadag 2020 now online! Get your tickets here!
It’s that time of the year again! The programme of the 2020 Afrikadag is now online and ticket sales have started! With this year’s theme being Climate Justice, the biggest event on Africa and international cooperation will take place on the 4th of April and once again in the Royal Tropical Institute (KIT) in Amsterdam.
As in previous years, Afrikadag’s 2020 event programme is jam-packed. Sigrid Kaag, Dutch Minister for Foreign Trade and Development Cooperation, will open the day with a speech addressing inclusive green growth. You will also get the chance to visit the theatre show ‘Pronk’ by Anouk Nuyens with afterwards a discussion with Jan Pronk himself, and to enter into conversation with writer Vamba Sherif on ‘decolonising the mind’, join a guided tour of the Tropenmuseum or participate in one of over 30 workshops.
Additionally enjoy a diverse arts and cultural programme with another edition of the iAfrica Film Festival and a literary programme hosted by bookshop Athenaeum. To top it all off, the day will end with the spectacular ‘AFREAK’ afterparty in Desmet Studios. Come along to feast on a delicious African meal and let loose to music provided by DJs and live bands who are guaranteed to get your hips shaking. So don’t forget to add your afterparty ticket to your Afrikadag ticket!
Would you like to bring your children like to the Afrikadag too? No problem! You will be able to purchase a special ticket for the children’s programme ‘Africa for Kids’ when buying your own – all Afrikadag visitors between the age of 4 and 12 are welcome!
Don’t miss out on these experiences! Take at a look at our diverse event’s programme on www.afrikadag.nl, put together a personalised programme, and buy your ticket now before they sell out. See you on the 4th of April!
